Reading progress update: I've read 100%.

Apprentice in Death - J.D. Robb

After reading Deaver and Connelly this was a letdown. There really wasn't much but Eve and company running from scene to scene to stop a sniper. And since I've been reading Deaver I had questions on how the heck the one character could just set up and murder people this way without any discussion of wind, weather, etc. I just let it go since I wanted to get done.

There's a weird segue to Bella's first birthday party and final confrontations that wrecked the flow of the book. And at this point I realize we had murders occurring every other week based on the last few books timelines (Devoted in Death, Wonderland in Death, Brotherhood in Death) and it's dancing near absurd territory.

And we get weird asides to Eve's new office. I maybe mumbled who cares.
