'Salem's Lot - Stephen King

Really enjoying the slow burn. King quotes Shirley Jackson which promises something epic and pleasing in this book.

The book begins with a man and a boy who seem to be running from something. The man keeps an eye on Maine newspapers and seems particularly interested in a town called Jerusalem's Lot. Something terrible seems to have occurred there with the man and boy both frightened, but realizing that they need to go back.

We then go back in time I guess and are following the citizenry of the Lot. We have Ben an up and coming writer. Susan, an artist it seems with dreams of New York and a whole host of other people I can't name right now.

Some creepy man has come to buy the Marsten House.
