Reading progress update: I've read 38%.
The world building so far is fantastic. I am loving all of the characters. Will say the flow is a bit bumpy jumping between Zelie, Amarie and Inan. I can do without Inan's POV. I think just focusing on Zelie and Amarie would have been enough for me, but no harm/no foul.
The discussion of colorism though via this book is so good. Dark skinned magic users being punished/ostracized by the lighter skin people in this fictional world.
