Government drone by day and book lover and geek girl by night!
UGH!! I keep losing my updates/posts. I finished this about an hour ago but am having issues not losing my typing.
So this book was a hot mess.
Julie is a Mary Sue. Zack is awful. I saw no redeeming qualities in him at all. Julie had an old boyfriend, Zack, the FBI agent (Paul) all in love with her because of her innocence and virginity (eyeroll).
The only three characters I even liked in this book which is the main reason why I am giving it two stars is the characters of Katherine, Matt, and Meredith. Everyone else was awful or so over the top I couldn't stand them (cue Julie's parents).
What is crazy to me is that McNaught does such a good job with the backstory of these two that everything that came after was so lacking. She had too many characters in this one (this book is over 700 pages you guys) and it needed to be trimmed. Desperately.
