Reading progress update: I've read 17%.
So far interesting. The main character we follow is named Xanthe (nope I still don't know how to pronounce it) who is trying to launch an antique shop with her mother Flora. Xanthe has a rare ability to be able to sense things from certain older objects she holds. A ghost (don't know the name) takes an interest in Xanthe and realizes she's who she needs to be able to reach out to her daughter.
Brackston is doing a good job with setting the stage with characters. And I am fascinated by this village that Flora and Xanthe have moved to from London, Marlborough.
